Surnames: WILLHITE WILHOITE WILHITE DYER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IKB.2ACE/1823 Message Board Post: Seeking Information regarding a Turner Willhite. He was said to have been born b 1816 or 1822 in Tennessee, perhaps Bedford County. He moved to Southern Missouri around 1850 and died there sometime after 1880 (Webster, Dallas, Laclede, Greene, or Polk Counties I think). Need documentary confirmation that he was the child of Lewis Willhite and Sarah Frances Christmas. Need dates and places of his birth, marriage(s), and death and burial. Need timing of his migration within Tennessee and from Tennessee to Missouri (including any places he stayed for a protracted period en route and any moves he made while in Missouri). He was married to Sophronia Dyer and may have been married to one or more other women before her – perhaps a woman named “Edith”. Need information on his wife or wives and her/their forebears. Also need information on all his children (and, if appropriate, which wife was the mother of each).

    3. The web site address for the library is on the Greene County web site. If you just type in Missouri Archives in a search engine you should be able to find it. However the web site address for the state government is: http://www.state.mo.us and then select government from the top menu. --- "Ms. Piglet" <piglet170@attbi.com> wrote: > > >Date: Sun, 5 Jan 2003 21:39:25 -0700 > >X-From_: Melnsam123@aol.com Sun Jan 5 21:39:25 > 2003 > >From: Melnsam123@aol.com > >Old-Date: Sun, 5 Jan 2003 23:39:20 EST > >Subject: address of Springfield Library- Shepherd > Room > >To: MOGREENE-L@rootsweb.com > >X-Mailer: AOL 7.0 for Windows US sub 10637 > >X-Diagnostic: Already on the subscriber list > >X-Diagnostic: 167 melnsam123@aol.com > 32746 Melnsam123@aol.com > >X-Envelope-To: MOGREENE-L > > > ><PRE> Hello List- I am interested in the snail > address plus web address of > >the > >Shepherd Room - Springfield Library in Sprinfgfield > Mo. 3. Charity, MO. is in Dallas Co. about 2 miles North of the Dallas-Webster Co. line. You might try Dallas or Webster web sites for info. The only Church that I have been to in Charity is the Charity Church and Cemetery. They are on Hwy. M just East of Hwy 38 that runs North out of Marshfield, MO. Hope this helps.
