Can anyone tell me what stray lists meant in the mid- 1800's? I have Burrell Tisdale Book 3, page 18 1848-1851, and again Book 2 pages 152/153 1842-1847. I am trying to find out information on this party, and wonder if the information contained would be of any help. Thanks in advance for your response - Jim Chandler

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Maley, Mary, and Proctor SHOWEN taken at the Sittler Studio in Springfield, Missouri in 1886. Maley who appears to be a boy is 5 years of age at the time, Mary is 3 years old, and Proctor is one year old at the time. I'm hoping to find someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

I cannot thank this list enough for the wonderful suggestions. I went to the Green County site that Alice suggested, and lo and behold, they have a probate index that you can call in to (via modem, not internet). I found the record below and I went back to the archives page to request the record! Yippeeee!! Does anyone understand what the DTC Destruct Date means though? I sure hope that doesn't mean they destroyed anything! Thanks! Lori GREENE COUNTY PROBATE COURT INDX FILE INFORMATION INDEX.......... 101807 NAME........... MANNING, ELIZABETH M. CATEGORY.......
