Can anyone tell me what stray lists meant in the mid- 1800's? I have Burrell Tisdale Book 3, page 18 1848-1851, and again Book 2 pages 152/153 1842-1847. I am trying to find out information on this party, and wonder if the information contained would be of any help. Thanks in advance for your response - Jim Chandler

Hi, I have a Rachel Farmer who married John T. Bowles. Both were born in TN and were in Greene Co by about 1850. They had at least two children: - Susan Catharine Bowles b. 17 Sep 1837 in TN. She married William McKendree Rogers b. 1817. They married 31 Aug 1857 in SW MO and later moved to Tarrant Co, TX where she died in 1907. - Newton T. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Maley, Mary, and Proctor SHOWEN taken at the Sittler Studio in Springfield, Missouri in 1886. Maley who appears to be a boy is 5 years of age at the time, Mary is 3 years old, and Proctor is one year old at the time.
