I'll have to check that out. I believe Romulus Sanders Staley and his wife Minerva Jane Evans are buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetary in Greene Co., Willard, MO. They are probably not too far away from Robberson Prairie. I didn't know where Alfred and Lucine might have been buried, other than Cave Springs, which I believe is north of Willard. Any other info is greatly appreciated. I still need parentage of Alfred Staley and anything on Minerva Jane Evans' family. Thanks. Nancy

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IKB.2ACE/888.2.1 Message Board Post: Hi, Nancy. Last May I went to Springfield to search for my Dad's family. We finally stopped at one of 3 or 4 "Staley Farms", asking the gentleman who was feeding the cattle, where Farm Road 50 was? I then asked if he knew where the Robberson Prarie Baptist Church and Cemetary were? He gave simple directions and we found it quickly. Imagine my joy to find both sets of Great Grandparents, buried one aisle apart! Anyway, your ancestors, including living relatives, are still on the land their folks passed to them. As I mentioned there were either 3 or 4 farms right next to each other, all with the Staley surname. It's obviously a rural area. Maybe you could just run a search in the phone book on-line? You may find just who you need to locate! Good luck, ReBecca

    3. Yes, it is. Squibb Cemetery and the farms to the west of it--were pretty much all started by descendants of Caleb Squibb and his first wife Susannah Johnson Squibb, in particular the children of son John. The Squibbs, Cotters, Johnsons, Wests, Reynolds, Garoutte's, Yeakleys, Nichols, Likins, Whinreys, Grey/Gray, Adams, Hunt (briefly) families in what are now Pond Creek, East Center and West Center Townships in southwest Greene County, Missouri came from Greene County, Tennessee between 1830 and 1860. I would be happy to send your Squibb ancestry to you, just drop me a line at squibb_chesley@earthlink.net. Barbara Squibb Chesley. By the way, I have to chart for James and Lenora Squibb, as I did not want it lost, and no one claimed it for a couple of months. Unfortunately, it was done in pencil and is very fragile.
