Elaine, I've got some of the information that I believe you are looking for. Matthew W. Russell and his brother Thomas A. Russell married daughters of Robert Doak Rogers (1826-1872) and Jurrita Wilson Watts 1826-1898). The wife of Matthew was Amanda Malvina (Mandy) Rogers and Thomas' wife was Mary Jane (Molly) Rogers. They were both sisters of Dr. Isaac Newton Rogers for whom Rogersville, Webster Co, MO was named. Robert Doak and his wife are buried in the Watts Cem near Rogersville. I have several generations worth of information on this Rogers line if you are interested. Here is a little tidbit that you may find interesting: From an article by in Ozark Notes by Charles E. Rogers: "Mandy and Mollie married brothers - Mat and Tom Russell, farmers, Democrats, Campbellites, and Confeds, by Gum!" Search Engine Strategies - Lower Case Entries When using Internet search engines to locate Web pages that may contain information about your family members, there are several rules to follow. Type everything in lower case. Most search engines will accept entries typed in all lower case and then search their indexes for matches with Web pages containing the word(s) in lower case, upper case, and mixed case (as in capitalized names). If you enter your search word using any capitalized letters, most search engines will seek matches only on that format of the word(s) you have entered. You therefore may miss many potentially helpful Web pages. Type surnames, locations, and any other data only in lower case and you will obtain more matches in your searches.

My Arrina Fredonia Russell married David N. Everly, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Everly, who lived on a neighboring farm in Clay Township. Arrina and David had nine children. Their daughter, Nany, married Jim Henry Smith of Rogersville. In 1880 David and Arrina Everly were living in Washington Township. I'm not sure where Nany and Jim Henry Smith lived but I think Rogersville. Elaine

Researching: Israel, Smith, Fawcett, Cathcart, Hammontree Elaine, We also have Smiths in Greene County. They all settled in the Fair Grove/Strafford area and many moved into Springfield. We start with Henry Smith (1791-1871) who married a Susan in NC. Their son John Henry Smith (1835-1898) who married Mary Melinda Owen. Then my g-grandmother Laura MeEtta Smith (1881-1927) who married William Ellis Fawcett. Then my grandmother Dulcie Oma Fawcett who married Ralph Waldo Israel. Does any of this sound familiar? There are so many Smiths in Greene County, it's hard to know where to begin! Thanks for responding either way!
