Beth, I talked with my Aunt who provided me with what information she knows about the Farley's. I am researching--George Alexander Farley. She understood the family came from around Springfield, Mo. She didn't know his father's name. On 07/03/1888 George married Louisa Jane Light in Iron Co., Mo. They had the following children: John Farley -lived arond Bellville, Il., Ethel Armentie (my grandmother) of Belleview, Mo., Jessie, Charlie of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Margaret Virginia of Belleview, Mo., Mary Alice of Belleview, Mo., William Preston of Belleview, Mo., Lawrence Preston, George Milburn of Bellville, Illinois, and Dowell of St. Louis, Mo. I would appreciate any help. Thank you, Diane [email protected]
Hi, Beth. I am just beginning to research my great grandfather George Alexander Farley. I know very little of him, and it seems the family knows little, too. I just discovered he is buried at Itson Cemetery, Belleview, Mo., Iron Co. He has a tombstone. I plan to go visit the cem. He married Louisa Jane Light 07/03/1888 in Iron Co., Mo. I don't know how many children they had, but I do know my grandmother was one -Ethel Armentie Farley .
I am interested in information on Nancy Wilmoth. She is 18 years old at the time of the 1850 census and was living in Benton Twp. with Jackson Smith and his wife Elizabeth. Nancy Wilmoth was born in Missouri according to the census. Is anybody else researching the Wilmoth family? Thanks for your time! Angela
Hello, I am looking to confirm the date of death for my husband's gggfather Elias Hatfield. He is said to have died in March or April of 1860 and I am looking for somebody that might have access to the 1860 mortality schedule for MO and could check this for us. We know the family was in Greene Co. since 1850, when Elias, his wife Nancy and four children are listed as living in Benton Twp. Would really appreciate the look up. Thank you!
Looking for info on greatgrandmother, Mila McCall, who married John Elijah or Eligah Harris in 1902, children included Caddie Pauline, William Raymond, Rhoda Arbaleta and Oleta Pearl. Caddie and Oleta died young. Also, Mila's siblings included Virgie and Virgil, LeRoy, Arthur, John and Pearl?
WHO WAS ELIAS' FATHER OR SIBLINGS Elias Hatfield, my gr gr grandfather, b. ca 1806 TN was first recorded in the 1840 census of Crawford CO, AR and again in the 1850 census of Greene CO, MO. There is an Elias Hatfield on the 1830 census of Cumberland CO, KY without absolute proof that this is "the Elias". I believe that my Elias is kin to the Valentine Jr. Hatfield clan that moved from TN to Fulton CO, AR in 1840-1850 (ref. Harry Sellards Hatfield book pp. 426-427). My gr grandfather Francis Marion Hatfield (son of Elias) b. ca 1846-48 MO moved to AR and then was in The Oklahoma Land Run of '89. My Francis M. had what was termed a cousin named Francis Hatfield (same name) on page 427, 41-4 of Sellards' book. Cousin Francis visited my gr grandfather in 1921 in OK and died during the visit, I have a copy of his death cert. Cousin Francis' line is well documented, but we have no concrete evidence linking our Elias to the Valentine Jr. line. The next piece of the saga is family rumor that Elias' mother was a Basham (a red headed Basham) and that she took Elias out of TN when he was a young boy, to where we don't know perhaps KY. Elias and wife Nancy maybe enumerated on the 1850 Fulton CO. census Page 150 Benton Twp. listed are E. Hatfield age 24 b. TN (this would be 42-46 and perhaps a census error) Nancy W. age 29 b. IL also in the house are David Weir 5 b. AR, and Susan Weir 12 b. AR. Nancy's age and state of birth fit exactly. Elias and Nancy were also recorded in the 1850 Greene CO. MO census as well, interesting and certainly possible for the times.
Go to the Rootsweb home page and look for the information on mailing lists. Go the link to the Missouri mailing lists then to Greene County. There should be information on how to subscribe and unsubscribe and in there somewhere should be the information on how to view archives I believe. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Atchley" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 28, 2001 8:01 PM Subject: RE: [MOGreene] Judy's transcriptions > Good.
