    3. (Page 63 is out of order, was omitted in error) Feb 4, 1888 Saturday The first Teacher's Institute at McFall was held today. A number of visitors were present, including the County Commissioner, Mr. Fesler. The McFall Band furnished music for the occasion. The programme was not carried out in full, owing to lack of time. March 31 1888 Saturday Rode up to Darlington on Friday evening local train and spent the night at Darlington. Took the morning train for King City where I attended the Institute. Returned to Darlington in the evening where I again spent the night. at the hotel. April 1, 1888 Sunday Took the morning passenger for Stanberry where I spent the day with my family at Mr. Fisher's. Returned with Mrs. Walters and daughter Dell to McFall on the evening train. Today was Easter. May 11, 1888 Saturday Rode to Stanberry the evening before on the local train to spend the night. In the morning, Mrs. Walters and myself went to Maryville on the passenger. Spent the greater part of the day there and took the afternoon local for Rosendale, MO. Consulted with the school board in regard to their school for the coming year. Left on the evening train for Maryville where we spent the night and the next day. Attended services at two of the churches. Took the evening train for McFall, taking on our daughter Dell at Stanberry where she had remained with her grandparents. ++++++++++++++++
