    1. Roll Call
    2. Hello List, I have about given up hope of finding anymore information on my William Harrison Barnes. I have census records showing him living in Howard Township in 1870, in Miller Township in 1880. He and his wife Mary (Dement) Barnes were living with their son Alfred L. Barnes and his wife Mary in 1880. William was listed as having Rheumatism. William died 05 Nov 1883 in Gentry County, MO. I have been unable to get a death certificate, find probate records or land records, or his grave. The courthouse burned down in 1884 and all tax, probate, death and land records are burned. Mary lived with another son Henry in Pineville in 1900 and she was living in Anderson, McDonald County, MO as a boarder in 1910. She died 14 Aug 1910 in Anderson and I have her death certificate. It says she was buried in Anderson. No cemetery records show a burial. I have found son, Alfred's, grave in Anderson. I hired a researcher to glean the files in Missouri and nothing more has came to pass on my William. I was given his death date from the Dement Family Association. I have yet to find anyone to tell me where they got the information. I assume some member had a family Bible with his death information. His mother was a Dement and so was his wife. If anyone knows anything about my William Harrison Barnes or has any ideas on where to go from here I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you for listening to my sad tale.
