This is from a cousin who volunteers at the NARA archives in Ft. Worth.. I thought she might know where to get a map of Gasconade Co... Below is her reply!! S. I've seen the one for Rutherford Co, Tn and was trying to find who sells it now (if they do). In process of trying to locate it, I found that other members of the Beers family also made maps of various places in the U. S. (not just D. G. Beers). The Library of Congress on line, has a listing of some of these maps which they have. I don't know if Missouri was among them but I seem to recall Illinois? I don't have the URL for Lib of Congress, just do a search. That's about all I know. These maps had one thing in common: made in the 1870s and showed property owners and exactly where each lived in the county. Plus churches, towns, etc. Have a great Easter. Joyce The 1878 D.G. Beers Map of Rutherford County The map is a copy of the original done in 1878 by the D.G. Beers Co of Philadelphia. >>
