This is your connection. Benjamin and Elizabeth Shoemaker are the parents of Emily (Emmilie) Shoemaker. She married my great uncle John in August 1871. She raised a son William born of a first marriage. John was in the civil war. John and Emily had four children that I know of... Benjamin J, Frances P. ( a daughter), Arnest or Ernest and Minnie or Wilhemina. In the 1910 census Emmilie is living with Minnie and her husband William May in Gasconade County, Brush Creek Township...She is 60 years old. If you have any more information or any other links I would be most appreciative... Jojhn is the Son of Adam an mary Muskat. Emliy's parent are from Indiana and Virginia. You can find Emily with her parents on the 1860 census in Gasconade County, Brush Creek Page 141 ( or Image # 10 Ancestry.com) 28th July.
