I am finally getting to make my trip from Houston, TX to Gasconade in 2 weeks and would like to go out to the Old Salem Cemetery that is off Hwy 19. I understand that it is on private property. Does anyone know who the current owner of that property is (last known owner was Jesse Pride) and how I can contact him/her? Is the Old Salem Cemetery near the New Salem Cemetery? The families that I am researching are Hibler and Mahanay. My 3rd great grandfather was John Steitz (Stites) Hibler, married to Nancy Fitzgarrel (Fitzgerald). His son, Milton, was married to Sarah Luvica Mahanay, the daughter of Benjamin Morgan Mahanay and Caroline Cason. On an old Gasconade County map from 1870's there is a "Hibler Prairie". Has anyone on this list heard of this and maybe know where it is? Derelys
