It has been quite a while since I got this map and I'm not sure where I ordered it from. It seems like it was from the Gasconade County Historical Society. I don't remember what it cost. The map is called "King's Land Owners Map of Gasconade County, Missouri, 1875". The owners of the properties are indexed by the 9 townships of the county. I have found that even though a name is listed in the index, it is not necessarily indicated on that particular plat on the map. Fortunately for me, it shows my ancestors' land and has helped me plan out my trip to the area next month. I was able to cross-reference this map with the Canaan Township plat map in the 1985 Gasconade County Cemetery Survey to locate current roads. I also learned that "Canaan Township" is not the same as the town of Canaan. I would have been searching in the wrong part of the county for my ancestors. Derelys
