    2. Sorry, but Ancestry.com doesn't have a complete listing from 1890. But, if you can tell me if they we for sure in Gasconade County in 1880, I'll try there for you. Also, what township.....I'll assume Hermann for now, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks, Mike

This group came from the area around Solingen, Germany and sailed from Rotterdam on the ship "Jefferson". They arrived in Baltimore on June 5, 1834. They then came overland to St. Louis where the members broke up looking for farmland further west. Please contact me if you have any information.

    3. Mike: My husband's great-grandmother was Mary Margaret Scherer. She was born in France and married Henry Weinland April 5, 1847 in St. Louis. They lived in Gasconade County near Hermann for most of their married life, but moved to Columbia, IL in later life and are buried there. There was a John Scherer in Mascoutah, IL that she was related to but we don't know how. Does any of this sound familiar? Roberta
