According to a letter I have he was in Gasconade County Missouri in 1838. He and a Mr. Joseph Aretz had a business deal involving ranch land. There is also the possiblity that he was going to marry a lady in the area. I don't know if it ever took place. If anyone has any information on Daniel Muhlinghaus I would love to hear it. Thanks

Can anyone tell me if the New Salem Baptist church near Owensville is still active? Also is there anyone who would know if there are records of those buried in that cemetery? Can you tell me which Stradfords?? I know ALL these people are connected to me, but I cannot PROVE anything...I have been at the Missouri Archives for days on end and never found a TRUE connection....My names are Ellis and Owens and Stradford and Crawford...but, all are connected to Jett, Carroll, Crider, Branson, Tackett, and Rattles....just no proof..Please, help me connect!! Here is my connection..... My mother was Dorothea Crawford Halfaker...her father was Charles Crawford born in Gasconade Co. to Margaret Ellis and Benjamin Crawford. Margaret's parents were Jacob David Ellis and Jane Owens....Jane died when Margaret was very small and I have NO proof about who Jane's parents were.....J.D. Ellis' mother was Mary Jane Stradford...this I am SURE of and she married John Ellis.....her daughter's married into the Tackett, Rattles and Crider families.....Anyone know this family??
