A fellow researcher suggested I post this to the Gasconade board as New Boeuf was/is a township in Gasconade: I am looking for McCoy and Nancy Dyson. They were listed in the 1880 Census as having lived in New Boeuf, with their children George, Elizabeth, Melvina, Jane and Margaret; Then in 1900 and 1910, their son George Dyson is shown living there as a widower with his four children: Willie, Louis, Cora and Dolly. I am trying to establish when the Dyson's arrived there and if McCoy, Nancy and George possilby died there. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated. Surnames: FRITZ JOST ROOS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/nMB.2ACI/93 Message Board Post: I have found the following in Roark, Gastonade Co. 1880 census: Lorenz FRITZ age 45 (b. 1835), b. Alsace; wife Paulina FRITZ age 37, b Wurtemburg; Frank JOST son age 11 months, b MO ; Barbara JOST dau b MO. I think Lorenz is part of the following family: This Fritz family arrived in New York Harbor on July 26, 1843 aboard the ship ARGO out of Le Harve. It was a 967 15/95 ton vessel mastered by Caleb Anthony, Jr. Michael FRITZ age 38 (b. 1805) Franjisca age 40 (b 1803) Johan age 16 (b 1827) Lorenz age 8 (b 1835) ****** Maria age 7 (b 1836) Catherina age 3 (b 1840) Maria CASPAR age 18 (b 1825) Is she a relative? friend? Agnes age 18 (b 1825) Margaretha age 22 (b 1821) ******** My gg grandmother. ALL OF FRANCE I assume Alsace--They spoke German or perhaps Alsatian. This is the order in which they appear on the ship's manifest list. I don't know how Maria Caspar fits into the picture. The family arrived in the Buffalo,NY area where Margaretha married Jacob ROSE (ROOS) in 1844 who was originally from Riedseltz, Alsace. Family story says the rest of the FRITZ family "went west after the lakes-the Great Lakes- thawed." Could anyone help by looking in the MO census for 1870, 1860, or/and 1850 for Lorenz or his parents and siblings. Please, someone take pitty on me. I have been looking for this lost family for 25 years. Margaretha Fritz ROOS is my GGgrandmother. I would love to find the family and eventually their town of origin. Her records left no clue other than FR. , which I assume is really Alsace/Lorraine. Thank you to anyone who will help. Jann Wojcik Please contact me directly at JRWojcik13@aol.com

Dear Listers; I'm seeking information on my GGF William D. George b March 1849 MO (according to census records) and GM Mary Adaline (Garrett) George b Aug 9, 1878 Albert, (Gillespie Co.),TX. William was a cattle hand and worked on the Moss Ranch in Llano Co., TX prior to Sept 18, 1879 when he married Henrietta Solomon b 1861 GA (daughter of Godwin and Mary Jane Roberts)in Gillespie Co., TX. They had four children between 1880 and 1887, Wm. is recorded widowed, 1900 census. Their first child Wm. Lawrence George (my GF) born July 21, 1880 served in the U.S.A. and then the U.S.M.C. before marrying Mary Garrett, having their first child Waldorff George and moving to Maricopa Co., AZ. Wm. D. and Henrietta (went by Ettie) also had Euphamia, Enock and Francis. Wm. D. George sold his farm and moved across the co. to Willow City after his children had grown. There he built and operated a general store until it was destroyed by fire. No more in known of William D. George. His birth place in MO and my GM's parents and siblings are and have remained by blocks for years. Any suggestions, ideas or references will be very welcome, if you are researching this line or believe you could be related, you are strongly encouraged to reply. Dear Fellow Listers; I am seeking the birth place of my Great Grand Father, William D. George b March 1849 MO. I have gleaned this from Gillespie Co., TX census 1880, 1900, 1910. He does not appear on the 1920 census and I assume he was dead. In the 1870's William was a cattle hand on the Moss Ranch in adjacent Llano County, he fought Indians at the battle of Pack Saddle Hill and on Sept. 18, 1879 married my GGM Henrietta (Ettie) Solomon b 1861 GA. William was widowed by 1900 and Ettie's Mother, (the widow of Godwin Solomon b 1813 GA) Mary Jane (Roberts) Solomon b 1833 GA, moved onto the farm to tend the four children; William Lawrence (My GF b July 21, 1880) Euphamia, Enock and Francis George. By 1910 William had sold his farm and relocated across the county in Willow City. He there owned and operated a general store, until it was destroyed by fire. No more is known of William D. George. My block wall has been for years - his birth place. Any one researching this line or believing they may be related is encouraged to reply. David W .
