She was 94 years old. She was born Nov. 23, 1907, Bland, Mo., a daughter of Louis and Mae Blackwell Ritterbusch. She married Clarence Brandhorst, son of Charles Henry and Mary Katharine (nee Blomberg) Brandhorst, at Leslie, Mo., on May 2, 1936. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Brandhorst is survived by two sister-in-law, Fern Ritterbusch of Columbia, Mo., and Verna Ritterbusch, Bland, Mo; one niece, Judy Withouse, Bland, Mo., two nephews, Dr. Robert K. Ritterbusch, Smithville, Mo., and Dr. James K. Ritterbusch, Jr., of Lexington, Kentucky, several great nephews and great nieces, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Loel C. Ritterbusch, Byron L. Ritterbusch and Dr. James K. Ritterbusch, Sr.; three infant sisters; one niece, Dr. Kay Ritterbusch Nystrom; and one nephew, Dr. Dale L. Ritterbusch. Mrs. Brandhorst was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the forum Blvd. Christian Church in Columbia, Mo. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thurs., March 7, from Sassmann's Chapel in Bland, Mo. Burial will be made in the Bland Union Cemetery. Services were held Sunday afternoon at the Toedtmann Funeral Home, by Rev. Armin Klemme, and interment was made in the Hermann Cemetery. A daughter of the late Fred and Wilhelmina Ronneburger Gaebler, Mrs. Brandhorst was born at First Creek on Sept. 21, 1873. She was reared in this community, and on Aug. 16, 1892, was united in marriage at Stolpe with Edward Brandhorst, the couple residing on a farm in this area. Mr. Brandhorst died May 1, 1940. Mrs. Brandhorst was a member of St. Paul UCC here. She had resided on the farm at Frist Creek until about a month ago when she came to live with her son in Hermann. Her survivors are one son, Edwin of Hermann, Mo., two daughters, Mrs. Dora Dorsch of Independence, Mo. and Mrs. Edgar (Anna) Weeks of Overland; one brother, Walter Gaebler of Winside, Mebr; one sister, Mrs. Edw. She graduated from Bland High School in 1928 and worked in St. Louis for a short time. She retired from the Gasconade County R-2 School District in 1972, where she was a dietician and cook. Services were held July 9 at the Bland Christian Church. Arrangements were made under the direction of Sassmann's Funeral Service.
