Here are the names of the Angell's listed in the book. Curtis Lee angell; Flora Angell; George W Angell; Marsh Angell; Maud M. Aangell and two John M. Angells. One John died at age 25, the other at age 33. I can give you the Cemetery name with birth and death dates if these are your people.

In a deposition by Lawrence N Angell and his wife Missouri J Angell, they stated that it was 1 mile N.E. of their home in Burbois or Bourboise, Gasconade Co. Could it be known by another name now? If anyone has records of this cemetery, I could use a look up for Minerva Stites Mahanay who died between 28 Feb and 15 Apr 1877 and was supposedly buried there. am new to the list and am a descendent of Daniel C. Crider. I believe my greatgrandfather A.J. "Jack" Smith may also have come from Gasconade county but I am looking for confirmation of that. The 1880 census in Webster county says his father was born in Tennessee and his mother in Missouri. Jack Smith was born in Missouri 2 Nov 1846. I am assuming his parents were married (probably in Missouri) before 1846. My mother says that A.J. stands for Andrew Jackson Smith and his father's name was George. I have a great deal of information on Daniel C. Crider and Elizabeth Reed (she died in Gasconade county between 1847 and 1850) and they were married there in 1826. Their daughter Isabelle Crider married John Henry Durbin in 1850 and moved to Webster county before migrating to Blanco county Texas. Their daughter Isabelle Catherine Durbin married A.J. "Jack" Smith in Webster county in 1874. I have looked in Webster county for a Smith family at the relevant time but none fit the criteria. I am hoping that Jack and Isabelle Catherine met in Gasconade county where she was born and spent part of her youth. Any information on Jack's parents would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Mary Paul Smith Jespersen Bogense, Denmark

Hi Patty, My John Allemann was born in 1834 in Switzerland. His birth name is Johannes Lucius Allemann. He married Dorothea Hermann who was born in 1834. My grandmother is Emma Moore who is the daughter of John R. Moore and Barbara Allemann. Barbara is the daughter of John or Johannes Allemann. Is any of this familar to you. I have had some discrepencies on the dates of John and Dorothea. I am going by the cemetery listings which I have found but they arent always correct. There was another Johannes Allemann in Hermann but he was married to Lucia which her maiden is unknown. I can send you a descendant report of my Allemann's if you would like. Who is you're grandmother if you dont mind my asking? I would like to see if I have her on my tree. Thanks for contacting me. I havent had any response to the message board until now. I look foward to hearing from you.
