Thanks to a couple of the new census/index CDs out there now that make searching the whole country quicker, I recently discovered that my great great grandparents (GENTZ) appear to have settled in Boles Township from the time of their arrival in the US in 1869 until appearing in Michigan in the early 1880s. (It's been a frustrating 14 year gap because I have everything on the family after 1883 and their life in Germany before their arrival in the US in 1869. I await getting to the FHC next week to order the 1870 census to help confirm that the family I found is the family I seek. In the meantime, can anyone tell me what Lutheran Churches might have been around in Boles Township in this time period (1869-1880). I have the 1880 census page they are on, but I am unfamilar with the township so I can't tell you which part of the township -- north, south, etc. My Great Grandmother and her brother would have been confirmed in this time period. Thank you for your help. Lisa Eschenburg
