    3. My first suggestion would be to check a local phone directory and I would have done so but don't have one here. I do have a few notes in my database that may, or may not, be of some help, at least in figuring out WHERE some descendants might be living. Strothkamp. There is a Christopher, Harry, Bill, and Matthew listed in the McDermott history. Strothkamp. There is an Eliza in the 1840 census per Kiel's book. Strothkamp, William, of Manchester, MO, who was a 17-year-old student at Eureka High School, was killed when he was a passenger in a car that skidded in front of a tractor trailer on Rt 66 per 1/9/1953 issue of Pacific Transcript. Strothcamp (spelled as found), Louis Edward, son of Lawrence Frederick and Matilda Strothcamp, nee Halmach, was born near Japan 10/17/1878 and died at Sullivan 2/18/1953 at age 74. Married M??? G??? 4/9/1902. 6 children. 2/27/1953 Tribune. That's all I've found so far. Sorry.
