Hi, I'm new to this list. Been searching about any info on my family. My great-grandfather John Thomas Vallee was born March 3, 1865 in New Haven, Franklin Co. I just looked through the birth records and found nothing on him or his sister Mary. I don't think the family lived there very long. ( He died in 1941 and is buried in Chicago). There were some land records from his parents John B. and Mary ( Mulhull) Vallee that I found, but that's all I've been able to find that puts them in New Haven. They bought property in 1864 and sold the same in 1867 and more in 1871. I think they left the area after that, but no one knows for sure where they went. It was said that John B. went back to France and Mary went to live with her brother Thomas in Iowa. There was another story that John B. planted grapes for making wine and had the Missouri Valley Wine Co.?? Doe anyone know anything about this wine Co.? Thanks, Cris Simmons
