If you have a family genealogy website that you would like for me to link to the Franklin County site <http://www.rootsweb.com/~mofrankl/index.html>, please provide me with the URL and permission to link (if you are the creator). If you know of family webpages that would be appropriate for me to link to, let me know so I can contact the creator and request permission. I'm sure there are a lot more sites out there for Franklin County families that could be linked in to make the page more valuable to researchers. Thanks. Sue Cooley
Has anyone heard of a Pea Ridge Cemetery in Franklin Co.? It would have been still in use in the 1920s. Is it possible that it is located in Washington Co., Missouri? Thanks for any help anyone can give. Ann
I owe everyone on this list an apology if the mailing I sent out reached everyone else in the form it reached me! Apparently photographs can't be sent to the list subscribers and all you got at the end of the letter was gobbledegook. If you would like for me to email the photographs to you individually, let me know and I will do so. I will be posting them at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mofrankl/index.html before the end of the day, which is probably the simplest for everyone. Again, I apologize (and should have known better!) I am trying to find the answer to a family story. It was suggested that my GG grandfather John Kiser born 1874 in New Haven, MO was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He was known to live in the Franklin County area all of his life. The last record I have on him was that as of the 1900 Census he was living in the Portage des Sioux area. Due to other facts I know, I am guessing he was sentenced around 1909/1910 time frame. Any suggestions on where I could find this information. I am currently stationed overseas and would appreciate email address if available. Thank you for your time.
Good Day to All, I am trying to find out how I would track down information regarding a court case and possible prison term for someone in Franklin County around the early 1900s. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am sending this to several list so some of you will get it more than once. I was sent this from a friend in TN. It sounds like good news to me. Ann The news last week was the NGS inter-library collection will be coming to the St. Louis County Library in Frontenac and will be available probably in January 2002. It includes 20,000 books, maps, family histories, etc, worth about $1M. Thanks to Curt Wichter, Ann Fleming, and the St. Louis County Library system for arranging St. Louis as the collection's new home, and many thanks to Julius Hunter for arranging the free transportation of the collection. The collection is coming from the NGS Library in Virginia, and is a 98-year collection. Items can be inter-library loaned from St. Louis County to your local library after it is catalogued and on the shelves. Of course, this same library partnered with LDS last year, and the LDS microfilms can all be ordered from St. Louis County Headquarter's Special Collections location. It takes a lot of hard work and caring and St. Louis really has what it takes! Barb Diehl

Hello to all, I have hit the proverbial brick wall and was wondering if anyone out there could assist me. My gggrandfather died in 1904 in Franklin County (John Kiser dob 9/1874 -- wife Maggie dob 7/1876 was probably informant). I have spent $$$ and exhausted all county and state resources as they state that deaths were not registered until 1910. Any suggestions where to look next. Additionally, I suspect he died in New Haven, can some one give me the names of the cemeteries there or where I could find them. Thank you in advance for your time.
