I took a trip back there last September and the gold mine was the historical society. Wonderfully kind people who allowed us to spend the day going through books and microfische and answering many many questions. They are listed under web searches and will probably help you if they can. As for old cemetery records, we've had a difficult time with this.. there are no headstones for my gggrandparents, atleast none that we were able to find. The newer cemetery does have old plot records and they were willing to walk us through the cemetery, however, we arrived in town after they were already closed so we missed out on that opportunity. I contacted funeral homes and no one seemed to have the funeral information from before 1925. I also contacted the Baptist churches, my gggrandpa was a Deacon. I was told that the ministers usually took the records with them when they lef! t that church. I ran a yellow page listing for businesses in Malden to get the numbers also numbers are on the chamber of commerce listing. We also had luck with county records at the court house in Kennett. These people can be very helpful as well, their old records are wonderful. The Dunklin site at usgenweb has info on them. I found there isnt much info online about Malden and you either have to call, write or better yet visit if you can.
