John raised his family in Peach Orchard. He gave land for the school and a church. He was sheriff for a while and ran a bar-dance hall for many years a lot went on there. John's father was James Byrd. Nove of the name you gave are familiar but who knows where we might connect. I have done some research on the family in Butler, New Madrid, Pemiscot, and Dunklin Counties if I can help you lest me know. Betty
