However, your post re: the CURTIS family caught my attention. My ancestor, ELIZABETH JANE CURTIS (1843-1890) (m. John Henneger Renfroe) lived in Henderson Co., TN, until late 1880's, then came to Dunklin Co., MO., where she died in 1890. They lived in the Senath area. I have yet to determine Elizabeth Jane's PARENTS. And what is a mystery is that various census records show her b. in TN, while others show TX. The TX connection shows up especially in her adult childrens' census information of where their mother was born. I've just about exhausted finding Elizabeth Jane's parents in TN, and your post has made me think twice about TEXAS. Do you, by chance, have an Elizabeth Jane CURTIS (b. 1843) in your files? When was your Thomas born, and do you have his parents? I know this is a longshot, but I didn't want to overlook a possible lead! Thanks, Pat
