Margaret F. Dalton (an older sister of my grandmother) was a daughter of Timothy Dalton and Mary Lannins (Davidson) Dalton. The family moved from Cape Girardeau Co. MO (1870 census) to Union Twp., Dunklin Co. MO, and before 1880 Timothy died, leaving Mary widowed with the children (1880 census). My grandmother said they later moved to Kennett MO, and later Mary died, leaving the children orphans. My grandmother (also named Mary, but always called Molly) went back to Cape Girardeau Co. to live with her uncle George W. Davidson's family (her mother's brother), and later married his son William H Davidson. I know nothing about what happened to my grandmother's siblings or where her parents are buried. Thanks for any information you might be able to give me. --Melvin Crane
