I have a Elmer George TUCKER b.January 22, 1889 Ark. or Mo. He married December 11, 1907 in Dunklin County, MO. to Mrs.Louvina "Lula" (Morris) PUGH. Their children they had together were named James William, Amos,Flora Ardella, and Cora TUCKER. Newspaper...... >From the Dunklin County,Missouri Fri. Aug 23rd, 1918 Has a write up about Elmer TUCKER's death. Shows he was raised in Dunklin Co, MO. on what is known as Pee Dee Ridge. Talks about his wife Lula TUCKER who had just got a letter from him and she was dumfounded when reaching the town to get a telegram telling of his death. Also mention he was in the 140th Infantry as his one brother Rufus TUCKER age 24 years old. Also shows he is the son of William Riley TUCKER who is also known as Bud TUCKER and lives in Kennett and also has two sisters Florence JAMES, and Mrs. Versie CHANDLER both of whom live in Kennett. Shows his (Elmer) mother died about 10 years ago. It doesn't mention his mother name. Theresa

    3. Teresa Pee Dee Ridge is most likely Pee Dee Ditch. Pee Dee Ditch is probably about a mile from the US 62/MO 53 junction at Campbell. Go to Map Quest (www.mapquest.com) and search for Campbell (zip 63933). When the map appears, zoom in to the area which shows the junction with US 62 going eastward from Campbell. Pan eastward and find the first county roads (231 and 317). That's the Pee Dee Ditch area. My husband's gr-aunt and her family lived on CR 317 when they lived there before moving to Flint MI in the late 1920's. At least you have an idea as to where the Tucker family lived.
