    3. I am a Pagan descendant. My line runs from David Pagan to John Pagan to David Pagan to his son, Alfred/Alford Pagan (born Meade Co., Kentucky and died in Craighead Co., Arkansas.) I have made application to the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the only item I need to finish my application is proof that David Pagan (born about 1822 in Virginia and died about 1864 in Daviess Co., Ky) was the son of John Pagan and Polly Pagan? David Pagan married Hannah Haws (or Halls) on Nov. 8, 1840, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky. David and Hannah Pagan were listed as taxpayers in Meade Co., Kentucky. In 1850, they were in Daviess Co. David supposedly suffered a heart attack and died while he was in the barn feeding stock in 1864 in Daviess Co. This information has been told over and over through generations, but I have not been able to verify this. I have found no burial spot for him in Daviess Co. either. Family lore notes that after David Pagan died, Hannah Pagan moved to Dunklin Co., Missouri, and lived with a son. Does anyone have any information on the Pagan surname in Dunklin Co.? It is thought that Hannah died and is buried near Arybryd. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. RaNae S. Vaughn
