Dye, 64, of White Oak, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002. at his residence. Born May 26, 1938, in Kennett, son of the late Edgar and Ethel White Dye, he was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include one son, Ricky Dye, of White Oak; one daughter, Marsha Johnson and husband, David, of Holcomb, Mo.; one brother, Ralph Dye, of Garland, Texas; one sister, Vicki Crawford, of Kennett; three grandchildren, Kristi Dawn and Jessica Lynn Dye and Stephen Johnson and two great-grandchildren, Dylan Johnson and Madison Dye. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Gene, Charles Lee, Bobby D. and Carroll R. C.D. Dye and one sister, Verla Edwards. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating. Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo. Pallbearers were Terry and Dave Dye, Steve Bradshaw and Don Crawford.
