According to a couple of submissions to Rootsweb, here is some data on the Bridges couple - Walter Bridges b 16 Feb 1869 d 1 Jul 1933 Melvina Amanda Braddum Bridges b 15 May 1870 d 2 Apr 1925 Unfortunately no places were given by either submitter. Both did reference a 1997 Broderbund Software publication of a family tree but did not note who the submitter was. At this point I decided to re-check the MO Death Index 1910-1955. I checked for any Bridges who died in the state in the year 1933. Struck out for Walter. I then checked 1925. BINGO! But be ready for this - Melvina was her middle name! She's listed as: NANCY M BRIDGES You can access the actual death certificate online (and even download it for free). It shows that Walter was her husband and that she was buried in McGrew Cemetery. Now as to Walter's, you've got some more work to do. Maybe he started out with one of the kids for CA and died along the way. You'll have to see if anyone has access to the McGrew Cemetery inventory. However, with a precise date you'll be able to obtain the obit and it may provide a lot of information you need including the death place. Remember that there were times when the funeral directors got somewhat slap-happy and either failed to file a death certificate with the state or they filed not once but twice for a person. Good luck. Debbi Geer __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
