This made me wonder if I was mistaken. I don't think she has a marker so it would be impossible for me to find the grave, but I am glad to know where the Cemetery is. Thank You so much.

You might want to look north a couple of counties. I am under the impression my ancestor, Granville Caldwell came to Stoddard County, Missouri in the early 1830s. (I have no documentation) If correct this was very early for Stoddard county. I think most of it consisted of swamp. Missouri had only been a state for about ten years and there were no inhabitants listed in Stoddard County. Is there any information regarding any other Caldwell in the neighborhood at that early date. Thanks, George

I have not lived in the Kennett area for over 35 years but I found this information which might prove helpful to the person looking for a Ten Mile Cemetery north of Kennett, MO According to a map which I have, there is a Ten Mile Island area, just north of Kennett, Missouri located west of Ipley (which is about half way between Kennett and White Oak, Missouri) on CR 426 and going south on CR 403. The area is near the St. Francis River area. There might be a cemetery in this area. Just trying to help with some clues. Good luck! Dan

While searching for some death certificates in the using the MO 1910-1955 index, I found one death certificate for a burial in Four Mile Cemetery which is near Campbell, Dunklin, MO. The funeral director at that time was O M McBride and his handwriting of the cemetery name is such that it could be interpret as Ten Mile Cemetery. For those inquiring about Ten Mile Cemetery, it's possible that it's Four Mile Cemetery. I have never heard of a cemetery in Dunklin Co MO named Ten Mile although I have heard about Twelve Mile Island (or Cemetery) somewhere south or southwest of Kennett.
