I think I have his parents, which show as David Weekly Schultz and Mary Mcclain., but not sure on that... I am looking for the family that Calvin had. The one child that is decendant of this family is Mary Schultz that married Charles Brannum about 1855.... If you have any info on this Shultz family or also if you have anything at all on Mary and her marriage to Charles Shultz and his family, it would be extremely helpful.. Thanks very much.Lance

Calvin's brothers were Charles, James, Mack(poss John McClain), Robert and his sisters were Bettie, Julia Ann, and Lottie. One other brother was poss F.M.. I would be interested in what you have

My grandmother's mother was his later wife, born Susan Ermina Barger, who had already survived two husbands (Bucy, Chapman) of her own. I don't recall whether Albert Harrison Grugett had yet another wife. My grandmother was the only child of the Grugett-Barger marriage, though she had several half-siblings (children of her mother's and father's earlier marriages) and a stepbrother (the son of Mr. Chapman's first wife). What this means is that Mr. Grugett's name was Albert, not Alfred. He died in 1917 and was buried in Liberty Cemetery, near Caruth, Dunklin County, Missouri.

Today I was in contact with one of his other children's decendants.. He told me that Charles had a brother named Merrit and a brother named Tommy or Thomas. That the 3 of them were in the Hornerville area.. I found Merritt born about 1855 and in the 1870 census he is living with Tecumsah C. Brannuim and his wife Cecelia. He shows as their Nephew...so Charles would also be Tecumsah's nephew. I then found Merrit in the 1880 census living with Mott Brannum and his wife Margaret..both families in Clay twp... Merrett is listed as a cousin to Mott....So Charles and Mott were also cousins... There is no doubt that Charles is the son of one of Michael's sons.... Given the fact that Merrett was living with Tecumsah in 1870 and 25 he had not married and his parents may have been dead. He also showed in 1860 with Mott and was 16... So one of Michael's sons probably died before 1860... DO you have any info on Merrett born about 1855 in Mo....?? Thanks. Lance
