Hi List's, I am hoping I might find a kind sole that has access to a data base for the 1900 census. I am looking for a Myrtle Darby. She was born 1883 in MO. Her mother was Nancy. Now it could be that Nancy might have been married to a Ray but don't know. Her cemetery record has Nancy Darby Ray and she was born about 1863 in MO. I just can't seem to find them. I just learned today that the name was Darby when I had thought for years it was Ray. Any assistance will really be appreciated. I have Myrtle and her husband Palmer Smith on the 1910 census in Stoddard County MO. Take Care, Jim Smith Collinsville, IL

For those who haven't view the guest book at the Dunklin Co MO website hosted by Don Wright, I suggest you to so. There are so many entries with surnames there that it would be worth your time to take a look. If you are just particularly interested in a surname, you can use the "Find" feature in your Edit menu. Let the guest book download, enter the surname in the find feature and let it do the searching for you. It's a shortcut to finding the surnames fast. When it does find one, it will be highlighted, you can read the message and if you need to start making communications you can do so. If the message isn't the right family, then allow the find feature to continue to the next occurrance and repeat until your finished. The find feature will save your eyesight and time from reading the numerous entries one by one. Also Don has many some changes to the website and you might want to see what he's done to it recently. Thanks Don for your time involved to keeping the website up and running. I for one appreciate it. Debbi Geer __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Those responding to the Roll Call: If you look at Don's message he had two special website addresses for the submission of the Roll Call surnames. If I understand his message as such, he does not want the mail list to be flooded with roll call after roll call message which will clutter a lot of email boxes. As such some people may not want to view the messages and one may be a cousin you're looking for. Here are the two website instructions he gave (copied and pasted from his message) - 1) Send me your Surnames to post to the Dunklin Co site at - http://www.rootsweb.com/~modunkl2/dunklin.htm 2) Dunklin Co., Missouri Queries & Surname(s) - http://www.rootsweb.com/~modunkl2/dcmo-que.htm The Dunklin Co MO website is where all the names should be so that all visitors will be able to see who they might be able to connect with. Let's help Don by abiding by his wishes. Thank you. Debbi Geer __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.yahoo.com

Cardwell Mo is just across the stateline from Greene Co Arkansas. HOWEVER......Aunt Susan is shown living in Greene Co Ar in 1900, in Craighead Co Ar in 1910 and 1920 so she could have died in Greene or Craighead county Arkansas as she had chn living in both counties 1920 to 1930 - or she could have died in Cardwell. Aunt Susan was born 03 Feb 1860 in Georgia and married Washington Warren Markin 17 Aug 1882 in Polk Co Ga. I am told he abandoned her and their 5 chn between 1900-1910. Surnames: CUMMINS, CUMMINGS, BIBB, SCHOOLCRAFT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lMB.2ACI/2001 Message Board Post: Seeking information on Sarah Ellen Cummins/Cummings, born 1868 in Dunklin County, MO, died 1913, Hornersville, MO, married Edwin Lucius Bibb 1-31-1886 in Dunklin County. According to oral family history, Sarah was supposedly “ born and raised in the Malden area”; however, I think it more likely to be the Kennett area. “ Sarah’s mother died when she was 7 yrs old and she was raised by a family named “MacRath” who had one son named Lee. Sarah had a brother Jim Cummins and two sisters, Betty and Mary.” I have a photo of Fannie Izora Bibb with a Simon Cummings about 1910, so it seems Jim Cummin/gs had a descendant. The Cummins/Cummings were supposedly Native American. Sarah and Edwin’s marriage certificate states that her guardian James Cummings gave his permission for the marriage. Sarah and Edwin had the following children, all born in the Hornersville, MO, area: Alfred Thomas Bibb, born May 1887, died 1913, married Ethel Horner James Fairlan Bibb, born Sept 8, 1889, died Oct 7, 1925, married Dessie Forsythe Maude Viola Bibb, born Aug 9, 1891, died 1918, married John Cullins Walter Lee Bibbs, born Sept 6, 1893, died Feb 19, 1977, married Ella Rentfrow (1), Roxie Collins (2) Fannie Izora Bibb, born Aug 7, 1895, died Dec 31, 1989, married Oscar Samples Ida Mae Bibb, born Feb 6, 1987, died Jul 22, 1986, married Henry Bates Brinkley John Henry Bibb, born Jan 13, 1899, died May 19, 1976, married Hessie Lee Martin Ivy Lucrecia Bibb, born about 1901, died about 1913 Dollie Grace Bibb, born Mar 7, 1904, died Sept 1, 2000, married Birch Hopper Claude Edgar Bibbs, born Feb 23, 1906, died Oct 16, 1981, married Etta Annis Loucks (1), Marjorie Lucille Goodwin (2) Florence Myrtle Bibb, born Apr 7, 1909, died May 26, 1948, married Melvin Martin Sarah’s name on her marriage license is “Cummings”. I found James & Elizabeth Cummins, daughter Mary in the 1860 census in Independence Twp, Dunklin County. The 1870 Independence Twp census shows Elizabeth as a widow with the following children: Mary, Thomas, Elizabeth, James and Sarah. Also listed working on the farm is Silas Schoolcraft. The Schoolcrafts were neighbors of James and Elizabeth Cummins in the 1860 census along with a William and Arrena Cummins and family. In the 1850 census, the Schoolcraft family (Hamilton County, Ill) had a daughter Elizabeth and the Cummins (1850 Stoddard County census) had a son James—both of the right age to be the couple in the 1860 census. I am searching for a connection to either of these families.
