I'm wondering whether my southern Missouri Dodsons have a connection with yours. My grandfather, Mason Edwin Crain (b 1912, Teresita, MO, d 2000, Caney, KAN) was the eldest son of William Dennis Crain (b 1892, Wright Co MO) and Minnie Belle (Gibson) Crain (b 1895, Hartville, MO). William Dennis and Minnie lived in the Wright/Shannon Co area of MO until she died in 1923. Minnie's father was George Edward "Ed" Gibson (b abt 1873 in Osage Co, KAN) and her mother was Adora (Dodson) Gibson (b abt 1874 in Hartville, MO). I'd love to hear from you if you think there may be a link! I know quite a bit about the family from the 1920s on and am willing to share what I have, but the earlier years are a mystery to me.
