My great grandfather, Ephraim DAVIS was born in Kentucky on October 6, 1826, and died in the area of Ava in Douglas county on September 26, 1892. He is buried in the Ellison cemetery located on the Blackenby farm (previously called the Dailey cemetery) in Goodhope Missouri. I am hoping that an obit from the newspaper could possibly name brothers and sisters and possibly parents and where in Kentucky he came from. Ephraim Davis was a Minister. His wife's name was Martha Susan "Pattie" Turner. Their childrens names were; #1. George Washington Davis born Feb 1855 and married to Susan Dailey #2. Jesse Richard Davis born Jan 17, 1857 and married to Mary James McClain #3. Phoebe Elizabeth Davis born Sept 10, 1860 and married to Harden Ambrose Williams #4. Sarah Louise Davis born 1862 and married to Jim Harless #5. Martha Cathlyn Davis born 1865 and married to Ephraim Parker Varble #6. Mary Lynn Davis born May 1, 1867 and married to Andrew Russell Williams #7. John Ephie Davis born June 19, 1870 and married to Cora Sebree #8.
