Sonja, I don't know if your Ross and Robertson families are the same as mine or not. Since I posted I have found more information. First: Sarah Ross was probably born in Marion County Tennesse in 1822, and married Malachi Robertson in 1842, Moved to Douglas County in 1855. Sarah Ross' father, according to The History Douglas County And Families, book was John Ross. It is interesting you mentioned the surname Thompson, because Sarah nad Malachi had a daughter, Mahala b. 1858, who married James Thompson. James and Mahala were my great grandparents. Also, James' Father, William James Thompson, and grandfather, Calvin Thompson lived for a while in North Western Tennessee, where Calvin was a Methodist Circuit Rider.
