Judy OOps it was Missouri Archives. Try this link. http://mosl.sos.state.mo.us/rec-man/archives/resources/bdrecords/records.html But it looks like the deaths are 1886 to 1904 same thing for births. Also I don't believe those are complete. I don't know how active the Douglas County Society is now, but I found many books put together by them several years ago about familys and such at the University of Missouri - archives in Columbia.
