I just learned today from a Merrick County, Nebraska deed that a brother to my great grandmother (Katherine Amanda James Dexter b. 1863), moved to Douglas County, MO by 1895. Joseph James b. abt 1851 was born in MD. In Nebraska he ran a grist mill. His wife was Alice.
