John. John Andrew Spurlock, b 27 Mar 1866, d 13 Nov 1935 - both in Douglas Co, MO. Son of William Washington Spurlock and Sarah Elizabeth Shelton. Cynthia Jennie Huffman, b. 23 Jun 1869 MO, d 29 Sep 1951 St Louis, MO, dau of William Huffman and Mary Ann Day. Md 4 Aug 1889 in Ava, Douglas Co, MO. Children: 1. William 'Harry' b. 10 Apr 1890, d. 15 Apr 1957, md Clara Singleton - note the Singleton family above in the 1920 census. 2. Lillian b. 16 May 1892 md H.E. Anderson 3. John Ernie b. 21 Jul 1894 md Fern [--?--] 4. Bessie b. 8 Aug 1896 md M.E. Everett 5. Joseph M. b. 18 May 1900 md Gertrude Safford 6. Walter E. b. 7 May 1902, d. 15 Mar 1954 7. Owens I can't read John A.'s occupation clearly - 'deals in ___, own office'. The name of Jennie could look like Fannie but if you look closely - it is a 'J' not an 'F'. He is the only John in Douglas Co on the 1920 census. He is a descendant of John Madison Spurlock and Sarah Ann Mason - William Washington is their son. I descend from their dau, Elizabeth Jane 'Sis' Spurlock who md William Haynes who also md a Shelton. I have more info on the Spurlock and Shelton families of Douglas Co if you are interested.
