Laine, I don't have a copy of your book "Gone But Not Forgotten" and would like to get one. I've seen the book before, and it is a great work. Could you send me details? Also, I keep an unofficial website about Douglas County at http://courses.smsu.edu/kwb237f/douglas and have been thinking about adding a section that lists available research tools and how to acquire them. Would you like me to list your book and how to reach you? Also, do you have other resources you would like to list? That goes for anyone else reading this email. Ararat Cemetery records Linda, My cousin, her husband and I published a book, "Gone But Not Forgotten, Cemetery Survey of the Eastern District of Douglas County, Mo" in 1995. We show a tombstone for: Henry Woods Mary 7, 1795 -- Sept 23, 1898 but nothing for Sarah. There is an unmarked gravestone (large fieldstone) next to his tombstone so one might suspect she is buried next to him but didn't have tombstone. Sorry I couldn't help more.
