Varble, 60, of Salinas, was killed today in a two-car crash at the intersection of Highways 466 and 99, north of here. Investigators said Varble, eastbound on 466, apparently failed to halt at the intersection and collided with a vehicle driven by John G. Lassiter of Del Paso. Varble was employed by the Jack T.
