Benjamin DAVIS married Bettie BAILEY (or Baily) Oct 24, 1872 in Cannon Co., TN. Some of his siblings and his parents moved on to Douglas Co., MO. He may have also. Sometime before 1895 he was murdered in a dispute with his landlord. I'm trying to learn the date this may have happened and where. He may or may not have been the father of the following children, depending on when he died: Ben, Daisy, Laura, Byron, Ella J., Lizzie, Phillip, Katie and Willie. All were born in TN except Willie who was born in MO. After the death of Ben, Bettie Bailey Davis married his brother Thomas Jefferson Davis but we have not found a marriage date for them.
