Their parents were John Tidence Shipley b. 1828, IN, d. 1894, Dora MO, married 1) Sarah Ann McWhorter (sometimes McQuirty), b. 1831, d. 1885, and 2) Sarah Elizabeth Mohr Russell Sanders.
