This reminder of some of the ancestors families coming supposedly to Douglas Co., MO from KY prompts me to ask: "Was there some trails that were frequented from KY to this area of MO?" I remember that some of my husbands's ancestors came from the area around Frankfort, KY to the Springdale-Fayetteville area, Washington Co., AR (which really isn't awfully far from Douglas Co., MO) This is not one of the families that I have delved into so I don't know if they stopped elsewhere along the trail or not but would not be surprised to find that they had stopped in counties in MO before getting to AR.
