A civil register of county officials shows H.H. Vicory as being elected as Sheriff on Nov. 5, 1878 and upon his death, was replaced by Sheriff H.P. Kelley on Apr. 4, 1879. By the way, I've always wondered about the spelling. In Douglas county history citations, it has always be Vicory or Vickery, never Victory, as I recall.
