Debbie Linton ------------------------------------------------ Dear Ozarks Genealogical Society Members [email protected] As most of you noticed, The GENEALOGY Column was left out of the Sunday Paper, 22 April 2001. I called to see WHY. I spoke with Kate Wood to whom I turn in my queries, she put me thru to Jean Thompson who is in charge of the Dept. I was told they are thinking of taking it out of the newspaper, and putting it on-line on their web site. Which would be nice---but I think there are many who read the Genealogy in the Sunday paper who are not and do not intend to be on-line. If you feel you would like to see the GENEALOGY column in the Sunday newspaper, I would appreciate if you would send them an e-mail to Kate Wood [email protected] or call 836-1199 ask for Jean Thompson. Ms. Thompson said if they got enough calls etc, to let them know how many read GENEALOY, it would help in their decision. I have had to stand up for the column before, they do not realize how many people read GENEALOGY. As they say-a minority. I thank you for your support of the GENEALOGY column in the News-Leader. Let's keep it there---they could also put it on line for the people away from here and those who prefer to see it on-line.
