I am seeking information about Nancy Ellen Alsup and James Hardin Hammons. Their daughter, Parthena Hammons was born December 25, 1876 in Howell County, Missouri. Parthena married John Wiley Arnold July 17, 1892 in Coldspring, Douglas County, Missouri, W. D. Hancock presiding. Parthena was the mother of John’s first two children, Pearl and Minnie. Parthena died when Minnie was born and it is said Minnie was raised by her grandparents 1. Pearl Arnold - born July 1894, married Mass Brown 2. Minnie Arnold - July 09, 1897, married Emry Proctor It is said that Minnie died as a young woman in Washington and her son, Willis Proctor was raised by his aunt and uncle, Rada Hammons and Gus Proctor It is said they died in Idaho.
