I have reached a block re. the STACEY lines in DOUGLAS, TANEY, JASPER and NEWTON counties. My research has lead me to Missouri (MO) based on birth places. Interestingly, as I was reviewing a map of MO I found counties named "Jasper" and "Newton," given names of my ancestors. Being unfamiliar with MO I have discovered mining was/is a principle industry. I had believed the majority of my ancestors were farmers (some were according to census records in Taney County, MO. However, my great grandfather was in a variety of mining occupations prior to his retirement in Arizona AZ. I have concluded that he, his brother and his father, to name but a few, migrated to AZ from MO between 1870-1888.
