Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GKB.2ACE/530.639.667.1.2 Message Board Post: I have Medlocks in my lines also steming from William Martin Medlock and his 2nd wife Nancy J. Smith. My problem is I have two men from this family intermarring within my Sisco, Bishop, and Nall-Morgan-Rippee lines. I believe Jessie married Mary Jane Stewart, who I believe is a sister to Martha Elizabeth Stewart who married John P Medlock. Martha then married a Bennett, then my great grandfather James Francis Sisco, bringing along some Medlock children: William Arnold & Edward Claued (children John already married, as well as Arthur, and Nancy J died within 3 months of birth in 1881). Then there is Thomas, son of William Martin Medlock and his first wife, Lydia Louisa Harris, who married Synthia Williams, and their son John Sheddrick took as his 2nd wife my ancester Omah L. Nall-Bishop (who first married Enoch Edward Bishop as his 3rd wife). Omah Nall's parents were Columbus Valentine Nall and Willie Ann Morgan, Willie Ann's mother was Sarah Watkins.. who married a Rippee and is tied to Arthur Monroe Medlock, son of Thomas Medlock and Synthia Williams. If I have now confused you enouh you can contact me at suesisco@yahoo.com, as these Medlocks intermarried into a number of my lines from Dougla County, Missouri.

    1. New feature on Douglas County Rootsweb site
    2. Kenneth Brown
    3. Everyone, you haven't heard much from me lately, but I've been silently working behind the scenes. If you've visited the Douglas County site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~modougla/doug.htm lately, you perhaps saw the new page of "Printed Materials I added to the site and will continue to update and expand in the upcoming months. The intent is to provide a single page where a casual visitor can find out about all available printed resources for Douglas County. You old pro's out there - give it the critical eye, and let me know what you think - point out my errors and make suggestions for additions or changes. The new "Printed Materials" page includes some new lists of surnames. Please spend a little time with it. Thanks. I have more to tell you but I'm about to head off to the first college football game of the season here in Springfield - my Southwest Missouri State Univ. against Drake of Iowa. More later.
