Posted on: Douglas County, MO Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Douglas/1579 Surname: Wood, Woods, Potter, Freeman, Johnson, Fields ------------------------- I saw a recent entry in the MODOUGLAS List Digest about Henry William Wood, wife Martha Jane Potter, and (Martha's sister) Mary Potter. I recently acquired a copy of the December 1990 issue of the _Journal of the Historical and Geneaolgical Society of Douglas County Missouri_, which contains a several-page-long article by Barbara DeVore. This article lists a Henry W. Wood (1795-1898!), who (based on information the article) appears to be one of my ancestors. This article lists this H. W. Wood as being married to Sarah Freeman (dates of birth and death not listed -- the Freeman family seems to be the main focus of the article). The article also lists a son William Henry Wood (1840-1926) as being married to Susan Potter (1841-1914). There may be a connection to the Wood/Potter families in the earlier message.
