    3. Posted on: Douglas County, Missouri Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Douglas/11641 Surname: Burris, Dier, Stafford, Tindell ------------------------- I am searching for my GGrandmothers family in Douglas County or surrounding counties. My GGrandmother was Maude/Mattie/Matilda(Stafford) or another version of that name. She married John Burris. She had a brother called Jessie, but I don't know if that was a given name or nick name. I don't know of any other bro or sis, but I would not surprised if there are more. My Dad said he remembered going to his grandfathers farm, that it seemed huge and very nice, meaning they might have been well off I guess. He also mentioned having some cousins so this leads me to believe there might have been other siblings. My Grandmothers last name was DIER, for some reason I remember her saying that she & Mattie were cousins, but I don't know the relationship. Anyway that how my grandmother met my granfather Aud Burris was thru the cousins.
