Baker and Lina Sullivan Baker who were married in Douglas County, MO on 26 Mar 1911? Lina appears possibly to be the sister of my grandmother and the daughter of William Isaac Sullivan and Margaret Adeline/Adeline Margaret Dyer Sullivan. I never heard my grandmother mention this sister, but I recently found her mentioned as a defendant in a circuit court case in Douglas County dated 7 Feb 1921. The other defendants named lived in other states, so possibly Lina Sullivan Baker did also. Any help is greatly appreciated. Helen Whannel >> Helen, I just noticed that you were seeking Sullivan with Baker as well. Today I made a startling discovery for me---I found the 1860 Slave Schedule and realized that the locations were Choctaw, Creek and Cherokee Nations at least that were located in counties to the west of present day AR and in lands which would become known as Indian Territory then later to become OK. You might want to check there for your specific Sullivan ancestor's given and surname and see what come up for them. Much success in your search. Beth Peck Cooper

First, I need to ask if you know the name of the first wife of William Trail? and also, who was the first wife of Joseph Dobbs? (I'm related to Pheobe Dobbs from her Alexander connections) With a quick search I came up with these: 1837 Trail, William Lawrence Co., AR pg 001 No township Tax List AR 1830-9 Tax List Index ARS3a1867723 1860 Trail, William New Madrid Co., MO pg 778 New Madrid P.O. Trail, William 24 Mar 1850 Lincoln Co., MO These may not be your William Trail at all but it may be a connecting family. Give it a try, if you have lost the track of William Trail going from the present backward----it happens often---but that was why I ask if you knew the first wife's name or if you should know their marriage location of the first marriage that may give you clues of where next to look as well. Does anyone know where the Dobbs Cemetery in Douglas Co., MO is? It is suppose to be located on the old Trail and Miller Homeplaces and contains members of the Trail family. William Trail was married to Amanda Upchurch. Someone researching the Upchurch/Trail families were wondering what Trail family members are buried there. Thanks, Karen Hoagland

[email protected] Rick, Do you happen to know if these Ellis were in any way connected to Ellis in Izard Co., AR? I do not know the ins and outs of this family but I know that one of my grandmother, Alba Edison McNeill Peck's Aunt was married to an Ellis man. I do not have details but the children of that couple I remember being a Benny Ellis of near Pineville, Izard Co., AR. I am sure he has long ago died but I wonder if he may not have been connected to your lines? My families's connection would have been through the McNeill side and what I remember about this was utter confusion when I talked to my grandmother McNeill/Peck because the terms she used and the way she expected me to know everyone as well as she did really hurt me figuring what was going on.What I do not remember off the top of my head is whether the Ellis was married to a McNeill or whether it was to a Cantrell (which was the wife's maiden name in the McNeill bunch!) Please get back to me if you think there is some connection!!! Beth Peck Cooper
